MY FAVOURITE ENGLISH TEACHER

I have many teachers throughout my school life who have guided me and moulded me into a fine student. I'm ever so grateful to all of them who have shown me the correct path in life. I shall always remember them with gratitude and whish them good health and happiness throughout their life. There was one teacher who impressed me a lot out of all of them. She was Mrs. Amaya Senevirathna. Engllish, being my favourite subject i always had a special interest in learning the subject. The English teacher whome i met in grade eight was a very special one. She was very smart and always well dressed. She had short hair and very pleasent manner of talking. She was a very strict teacher but knew her subject well. When she enters the class room we all stand up and greet her. She receproccates our greeting with a smile. SINHARAJA RAINFOREST

  The Sinharaja forest is the only undisturbed rainforest left in Sri Lanka. It is about 9000 hectares in extent. Many of the plants are very rare. Over 60% of the tree species are found only in the lowland wet zone of Sri Lanka. If these species of trees were allowed to get destroyed , the world would lose them altogether. So it is important that much effort is made to conserve this rich, valuble and fragile habitat.  The Sinharaja rainforest is the largest rainforest reserve in Sri Lanka. In 1840 Sinharaja became a crown property. In 1988 the Sinharaja was made a National Wilderness area. In 1989 UNESCO included the SInharaja Forest in the World Heritage list, as the first National Heritage of Sri Lanka.  The Sinharaja forest is home to many rare animals, birds, butterflies, insects, reptiles and trees. 😄THE FOX AND THE STORK😄 Once upon a time a fox and a stork lived in the forests. they were very good friends. One day the fox invited the stork to dinner. At dinner the fox served the food on two flat plates. The fox ate all the food. The stork could not eat any food because of his long beak. Afterwards the fox ate the stork's food too. The stork went home very hungry. The next day the stork invited the fox to dinner. He served the food in two jugs which had long necks. The fox could not eat the dinner because the jug had a long neck. he watched hungrily as the stork ate dinner using his long neck.   Do not play tricks on your neighbours unless you can stand the same treatment yourself.
