A famous person born on my journey.

 T.B.Jayah

T.B.Jayah was born on Galagedara on 1st January 1890. After his primary education, his family moved to Colombo and he was admitted to St.Thomas' College, Mt.Lavinia fir his Secondary Education.After passing the London B.A.Examination.

 T.B.Jayah began his teaching career at Dharmaraja College,Kandy. Next he taught at Prince of Wales College, Mortuwa and Ananda College, Colombo. He was one of the founder members of Zahira College, Colombo.As a result of the requests of Muslim leaders he assumed duties as the principal of Zahira College ,Colombo. There were only six teachers at the time. Throughttt his devotion, dedication and selfless service, he was able to bring up Zahira College,to the level of other leading schools in the country. Many philanthropists helped him with the funds necessary ,to develop the school in aspect.

During the second world war,T.B.Jayah established branches of Zahira College in Gampola,Matale,Aluthgama and Puttalama. After the war these schools developed on their own and became indipendent schools. Through his vision and efforts he served his community by opening new avenues for education.

 In 1924,T.B.Jayah was appointed to the Legislative Council to represent the minority communities. He worked in unsion with the member who represented other communities. From 1936 to 1947, he served in the State Council. When Sri Lanka was given Dominion status he represented the Colombo Central Electorate. he was appointed the Minister of Labour and Social Service. He joined hands with other leaders in the struggle for Independence. In 1950 he was appointed as the High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Pakistan. He died in 1960, falling on a pilgrimage  to Mecca, the holiest place for all Muslims. He is remembered by every Sri Lankan, specially for his contribution towards the struggle for independence and his service to education.

I have many teachers throughout my school life who have guided me and moulded me into a fine student. I'm ever so grateful to all of them who have shown me the correct path in life. She was Mrs. Amaya Senevirathna. Engllish, being my favourite subject i always had a special interest in learning the subject. The English teacher whome i met in grade eight was a very special one. She was very smart and always well dressed. She had short hair and very pleasent manner of talking. She was a very strict teacher but knew her subject well. CLOWNS

Clowns enjoy making people laught. It's their job. They like it. They paint their face and put on funny nose. They smile a lot, but here's a funny thing - when they are not smiling , the make - up on their faces makes them look sad. Mostly though, clowns smile and laugh, they also wear funny clothes and funny shoes. We see them most often in circuses. They run, jump, fall down turn somersaults and cartwheels, do handstand and bunny rolls. They ride donkeys backwards, push each other in wheelbarrows and pour flour and buckets of water over each other when they pretend to be angry. Clowns have to work hard, though. They must train to keep fit and active. They must work long hours but the pay is quit low for most of them. They are kind people usually and they sometimes give a show free to an orphans' home or a hospital. Sick children and old people too, usually feel better after seeing the clowns. In fact ther is a saying "Lauhhter is the best medicine'.

Anne Frank

💖 A nne Frank💖 was a Jewish girl who had to go into hiding during World War II from the Nazis . Together with seven others she hid in a secret annex. After almost two years in hiding they were discoverd and deported to concentration campus. Anne's father, Otto Frank ,  was the only one of the eight people to survive. After her death Anne became world famous of the diary she had written while in hiding. 💖Anne Frank💖 was born on 12 June 1929 in Frankfurt . The economic crisis, Hitler's rise to power and growing anti-semitism put an end to the family's carefree life.So, following what most of the Jews did, they decided to leave Germany to save their lives. Anne and others n hiding stayed very quitely, they were often afraid and despite  good and bad times, spent the time together.
