MY FAVOURITE ENGLISH TEACHER

I have many teachers throughout my school life who have guided me and moulded me into a fine student. I'm ever so grateful to all of them who have shown me the correct path in life. I shall always remember them with gratitude and whish them good health and happiness throughout their life. There was one teacher who impressed me a lot out of all of them. She was Mrs. Amaya Senevirathna. Engllish, being my favourite subject i always had a special interest in learning the subject. The English teacher whome i met in grade eight was a very special one. She was very smart and always well dressed. She had short hair and very pleasent manner of talking. She was a very strict teacher but knew her subject well. When she enters the class room we all stand up and greet her. She receproccates our greeting with a smile. THE DANCE OF THE BEES

Bees have a way of 'talking' with one another, which they do not have to learn : that is ,it is an instinct. But the bees, language is a very strange one; it is a language of smells and of dancing. When a worker bee, searching around in a field ,finds a flower with sugary nectar in it, soon afterwards many other bees are on the spot collecting the sweet liquid from similar flowers. The same is true for a worker which bring pollen home to the hive from a flower. How does the first bee which has discovered the nectar or the pollen, tell the others of the find? It informs the other bees of the discovery by means of a dance. This has been found out by marking bees with tiny spots of coloured paint so that separate bees can be recognized.
