MY FAVOURITE ENGLISH TEACHER

I have many teachers throughout my school life who have guided me and moulded me into a fine student. I'm ever so grateful to all of them who have shown me the correct path in life. I shall always remember them with gratitude and whish them good health and happiness throughout their life.

There was one teacher who impressed me a lot out of all of them. She was Mrs. Amaya Senevirathna. Engllish, being my favourite subject i always had a special interest in learning the subject. The English teacher whome i met in grade eight was a very special one. She was very smart and always well dressed. She had short hair and very pleasent manner of talking. She was a very strict teacher but knew her subject well.

When she enters the class room we all stand up and greet her. She receproccates our greeting with a smile. Before she gets down to the lesson she used to always make the class lively by either singing a song or reciting a poem with the students. We enjoyed this very much.

When she begins the lesson we always listen attentively. She gets the students to speak often and encourage them to ask questions. We used to have debates and speling Bee's in the  class room. her style of pronouncing English word was really admirable.

Mrs. Amaya Senevirathna is a talaented English teacher. She can sing very well and act in dramas as well. She is very capable and efficient in everything she does. She is also a very popular teacher on the staff because of her good qualities. She's always so helpful, selfless and kind hearted. Students respect her a lot.

She is a teacher who sacrifices her time and energy on students in developing their language skills. She stays after school and helps the students with drama, debating and organizing English days. She is a teacher who possessed many talents and at the same time loved by all, for her noble qualities.  I wish her the very best and good health to continue serving the children of this land for many long years.
